La Petite Maison's Cocktail – How to Make It

WThis is a simplified version of a cocktail featured on our latest menu. Designed as a party-sized pre-mixed that is packed with the flavours of the festive period, making it perfect for hosting a celebration. Save the extra syrup you can use for brunch beverages, desserts, or to mix another batch of bikinis.

Makes enough for 10 people

Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (makes 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar

For the Cocktail (produces 850ml, serving 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Method

For the Citrus Syrup: Combine all the items in a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. After that, take off the stove allowing it to cool down entirely. Pour into an sealable bottle, seal and refrigerate it chilled, where it will keep for about one month.

To make Premix: Combine all the spirits and syrup into a sizeable container, let it rest for an hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, making it perfectly clear.

To serve: Measure 85ml of the premix into your stirring glass filled with ice, gently stirring lightly for about 60 seconds to chill. Strain to a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, decorate with some cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a light spray of the essential oil over the drink.
